INDOCHINA LEGAL's Managing Partner is a graduate of Civil and Commercial Law from the University of Toulouse (LL.B - 1983), Master in International Law from the University of Paris (LL.M - 1984) and DESS in International Contract Law and Practice from the University of Paris (D.E.S.S. - 1986). Further to 5 years of practice in France and Australia with two major French law firms, including Gide Loyrette Nouel, he moved to Vietnam in late 1993 to be the Vietnam Resident Partner of a French law firm with strong presence in the South East Asia region. Both during his years in Paris and since he first came to Vietnam, Eric has been asked to advise his corporate and institutional clients on a wide spectrum of Business Law issues such as inward investment operations, mergers and acquisitions, project financing, real estate/property law, tax planning, commercial and civil litigation and intellectual property. Eric founded INDOCHINA LEGAL in 2007 and is described by Chambers Asia 2010 as "smart and client-focused".

Luc is a graduate of the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Arts (1977), a Bachelor in Geography (1978) and a Bachelor of Law (LL.L. - 1985). He also holds an Executive M.B.A. from McGill University (1997). Luc has advised clients in both the public and private sectors. Luc worked several years as legal counsel at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada, before joining Lavalin Group, an international engineering and construction company. Luc then joined the Bangkok office of an international law firm as Partner. Thereafter, he joined the firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Thailand as Director for 2 years before leaving to help found INDOCHINA LEGAL. Luc brings an expertise in M&A, joint ventures, project financing and concessions, commercial negotiations, infrastructure (including power generation and distribution, oil and gas, transportation and industrial projects), as well as international arbitration. He has lectured on international and commercial lawand dealt with the various legal issues of engineering and construction projects at several academic institutions, including the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand.

Tuan is a graduate of the Hanoi Economic University (BS), the Foreign Language University (BA), the National University with a major in Laws (LL.A) and the University of Southern California (MBA). Before joining INDOCHINA LEGAL in 2008, he acted either as in-house/general counsel for large international companies or attorney for a prominent international law firm operating in Vietnam, (namely Mayer Brown JSM). Tuan has acquired a wide experience in commercial, tax, corporate law and international transaction, including joint ventures, inward investment, mergers and acquisitions, real-estate and infrastructure projects as well as litigation. He has extensive experience in litigation and general commercial law (including M&A) and has also advised multinational companies on real estate and infrastructure projects. He leads INDOCHINA LEGAL's litigation team on all cases before the courts in Vietnam, with the support of legal associates, and assists in international arbitration on issues of Vietnamese law.

Archelle obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines (2004). She has been practicing as a foreign lawyer in Vietnam for more than 3 years. She was also registered as a foreign lawyer practicing at the Singapore Attorney-General's Chambers in 2009. Archelle has been involved in a number of multi-jurisdictional and cross-border transactions specializing in corporate commercial, foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, real estate and commercial property development. Archelle was admitted to the Philippine Bar in May 2005 and is a lifetime member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (Makati Chapter). She speaks fluent English and Tagalog.

Thanh holds an LL.B degree from the Ho Chi Minh City Law University (2003). He also earned a Master's Degree in Public International Law (LL.M. - 2005) from Aix-Marseille III University, France. Thanh was an assistant professor in Ho Chi Minh City Law University in 2004. He has over 5 years experience in legal practice and profound knowledge in foreign investment, employment, taxation, mergers and acquisitions. Aside from being a native Vietnamese speaker, he is also fluent in English and in French.

Thu graduated from the Hanoi Law University in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in International Economic Law. She holds a Master's Degree in Exportation Law in Paris V – Malakoff University in 2007 and a Master's Degree in International Commercial Law from Paris X – Nanterre University in 2006. She is an experienced legal adviser in taxation, employment, insurance and dispute resolution. Other than her native Vietnamese, she also speaks English and French.

Tram graduated with an LL.B degree from the Ho Chi Minh City Law University in 2006. Prior to joining INDOCHINA LEGAL, Tram worked as an associate at Mayer Brown JSM (formerly Johnson Stokes & Master) for 2 years. Tram has depth of knowledge on foreign investment, banking, corporate matters and litigation matters. Tram is a native Vietnamese speaker, who is also fluent in English.

Trinh is a graduate of Hanoi Law University (1998). She completed a linguistic course in Panthéon - Assas University (France) in 2004. She holds a Master's Degree in International Commercial Law from Tours University in 2005 (France). Trinh's expertise includes litigation and corporate services. She is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association, and speaks Vietnamese, French, English and Russian.

Thang graduated from the Hanoi Foreign Language University with a Bachelor’s Degree, Major in English in 1993, and from the Hanoi Law University with an LL.B degree in 2003. Thang has been in the practice for over 6 years and has developed a high level of competence in licensing, foreign direct investment, labour and employment, and dispute resolution. He is a native Vietnamese speaker and is also fluent in English.
